Yes, it is permanent. Studies have shown that once a hair follicle has been treated successfully, it will never grow back again. More than 90% of our clients have had successful, permanent hair removal as a result of our treatments.
We use a dynamic, in-treatment cooling device simultaneously with our laser hair removal treatment, which acts to cool the skin during the treatment process. The result is that you feel almost no pain at all, though of course everyone is susceptible to different pain thresholds. We also provide a tropical anesthetic cream prior to treatment if you feel it’s necessary.
The amount of treatments you will need depends on many factors, including your skin texture, pigmentation and hair color. The darker your hair is and lighter your skin is, the quicker it is to achieve the desired results. On average, complete hair removal takes between 8 to 10 treatments, though some people may need more or less. Treatments are spaced at 4 to 6 week intervals, depending on your hair’s growth rate.
Yes, it can. Therefore, one needs to keep the treated area of skin out of exposure to the sun for a month before treatment commences, and around 1 or 2 weeks afterwards. Sun exposure can interfere with laser hair removal treatment by causing burn marks or hyper and hypo pigmentation blemishes. While these blemishes are not permanent, it can take up to 6 months for your skin to return to its normal condition.
The laser treatment does not cause permanent scarring, as the dermis layer of your skin is not affected. Any burns or damage to pigmentation during the treatment is only superficial and will slowly disappear.
There are just a few kinds of medication that could affect laser hair removal treatments. Medicines such as Roaccutane and Retin – A are known to be affected. These two drugs can make your skin more susceptible to pigmentation during laser treatment. Therefore, we advise anyone consider treatment to wait for 2 months after stopping taking these medications.
